“It is good to love many things, for therein lies strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done with love is well done.”—Vincent van Gogh (via girlwithoutwings)
“My mouth hasn’t shut up about you since you kissed it. The idea that you may kiss it again stuck in my brain, which hasn’t stopped thinking about you since well before any kiss. And now the prospect of those kisses seems to wind me like when you slip on the stairs and one of the steps hits you in the middle of the back. The notion of them continuing for what is traditionally terrifying forever excites me to an unfamiliar degree.”—
“If you end up with a boring miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it.”—Frank Zappa (via crimsun)
The difference between my work now and my previous one still strikes me. Sure I frequently feel overwhelmed and well, frankly, overworked, but I would rather be these now than go back to where I was about a couple of months ago.
The difference, I guess, is while my work now is considerably heavier, it is more challenging and, thus, more likely to help me learn new things.
It helps that I feel we are working for a worthy cause that makes it worth all the time and effort we put in.
They really weren’t kidding when they said you should find a job where you like what you do. I can’t ever imagine myself going back to anything like my job before. Ever. Well, I hope circumstances won’t ever force me to go back! In the meantime, I shall learn all I can!
(A pointless post really. Just wanted to tell the world what a relief it is to find work that I actually like!)
(oo. BITTER pa rin ako!)
“for it’s true, isn’t it,
in our world,
that the petals pooled with nectar, and the polished thorns
are a single thing—
that even the purest light, lacking the robe of darkness,
would be without expression—
that love itself, without its pain, would be
no more than a shruggable comfort.”—Mary Oliver
“You can never know if a person forgives you when you wrong them. Therefore, it is existentially important to you. It is a question you are intensely concerned with. Neither can you know whether a person loves you. It’s something you just have to believe or hope. But these things are more important to you than the fact that the sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees. You don’t think about the law of cause and effect or about modes of perception when you are in the middle of your first kiss.”—Sophie’s World, Jostein Gaarder (via draughts)

Client: “Can you take the Facebook logo off? I think it violates the integrity of the product. It should only show my logo. I also want to change the page colour to red, like my site, and take that dumb top row off.”
Client: “Let me finish before you start, so you can ask all of…
The Nielsen Company who is a market leader in understanding consumers just published a new report on social media that looks at trends and consumption patterns across social media platforms in the U.S. and other major markets, exploring the rising influence of social media on consumer behavior.
Yeah well, I think this list is just something to boast about. I mean, honestly, what does it matter if they haven’t read the book? It’s an adaptation, another interpretation, if you will. JK Rowling approved of it or else they shouldn’t have played it that way. I’m not a huge fan of the movies myself, always having preferred the books, but I don’t see the point of that last line.
